About Adjany

"Through my journey, I strive to inspire every Black girl who's ever felt like she didn't belong."

ADJANY's story begins in a refugee shelter in Germany. Born to Angolan parents who fled the civil war in the early 90s, she grew up in modest circumstances – an upbringing that strengthened her determination to carve her own path and seize opportunities that once felt out of reach.

In 2012, her modeling career started unexpectedly when she was scouted during a lunch break in her hometown, Heidelberg. After just one photoshoot, new doors opened in Mexico, where she was represented by local agencies and soon appeared on billboards, in editorials, and on the runway. Yet, she put modeling on hold to pursue a career in the investment industry that would ultimately bring her to Paris a decade later – a move that quietly reopened her path into the fashion world.

After making the bold decision to leave finance in 2025 and pursue modeling full-time, she traveled to Brazil where she was scouted in São Paulo. But it was a subsequent trip to Johannesburg that changed everything.

Today, ADJANY is signed with 3D Management, one of South Africa's premier talent agencies, opening this new chapter with a runway show for iconic designer DAVID TLALE. Her presence at South African Fashion Week SS2026 as well as collaborations with local designers, photographers, and creatives cements her place in the African fashion landscape.

Beyond modeling, ADJANY is building something larger. As a Black German woman who has spent a lifetime navigating questions of identity, it was in Paris that she felt embraced by the African and Caribbean community and for the first time experienced a true sense of belonging – an experience that ultimately brought her back to the continent. She is committed to creating space where Black women feel represented, empowered to own their identity, and inspired to pursue their dreams – unapologetically.

With a Master's degree in International Management and speaking five languages – Lingala, German, English, Spanish, and French – she approaches her career with strategy, intention, and a long-term vision:

From Germany. Through Africa. Into the World.
